Economic Strengthening
YWCA strives for economic empowerment of youth between 16 to 30 years old and vulnerable households’ members to become resilient. The program builds the capacity of the target beneficiaries by providing trainings on financial literacy through various savings and loans models namely Voluntary Saving and Loan (VSL), Integrated Saving Loan Group (ISLG) and Saving and Internal Lending Communities (SILC), financial linkages, entrepreneurship, cooperatives promotion and enterprise development. Economic strengthening goes hand in hand with life skills and Currently YWCA Rwanda supports a total of 860 saving groups and have saved 376, 169, 185 Rwandan francs.
